Lifeline Malawi Ngodzi Heath Centre serves a population of around 200,000 citizens, most of whom are dependent on rain-fed farming and local fishing to survive. Poverty, malnutrition and disease are common in the community and malaria is one of the biggest threats to life, along with other diseases such as TB, respiratory infections, childhood diseases and HIV/AIDs. The centre provides a range of medical services to combat these diseases, improves maternal health and reduces infant mortality, and provides medical care including medicine distribution to over 4,500 patients each month.
