This was my first time being in an environment in which so many people know Jesus and being able to pray for patients, at ward rounds and attending chapel with staff once a week has helped me to learn how to better integrate my faith with my medical practice, which I hope to continue when I start work here as a junior doctor in July.

A student elective is a great opportunity to do something different and learn new things. It's a chance to see life and medicine in another setting and to look at the world from a different perspective. For many students, their medical elective is an experience that changes the way they live and shapes their future.

Caleb and Lucy have recently returned from Kenya after doing their medical elective with Africa Inland Mission.
Deciding what to do, where to go and how to get there can seem a daunting task but we can help point you in the right direction. We would recommend organising it through a mission organisation as they provide great support before, during and after the elective.
