A student elective is a great opportunity to do something different and learn new things. It's a chance to see life and medicine in another setting and to look at the world from a different perspective. For many students, their medical elective is an experience that changes the way they live and shapes their future.
Have you ever thought of combining it with your faith and seeing what God is doing in other parts of the world and have the opportunity to share your faith while you treat your patients?
Read about Caleb and Lucy's experience here.
Deciding what to do, where to go and how to get there can seem a daunting task but we can help point you in the right direction. We would recommend organising it through a mission organisation as they provide great support before, during and after the elective.
If you would like to see what it is like to practice medicine in a resource-poor setting and experience how God can use that to reach the nations, we offer a bursary to help towards the cost of the trip.
