ACET Nigeria’s recovery from the COVID 19 pandemic has been truly inspiring. During the pandemic they had supported the government’s efforts to raise awareness of preventing COVID-19 in the community, and this, in turn raised awareness of their HIV prevention work. In 2022, ACET Nigeria were aiming to reach 16,150 vulnerable children, young people and families with HIV and care, sexual health outreach, children’s clubs, Esteem clubs, parental support and gender equality training. They far surpassed this target, with 19,099 precious community members benefitting from their services. This has led to increased knowledge and skills for individuals, and better health outcomes for communities that have been affected by the collision of the COVID-19 and HIV pandemics.
