Vision for Bangladesh was set up by Rachel Andrews in 2017 who had been working with the Bengali people since 2006. She has a real passion to support those living in Bangladesh in the Tea Garden communities to try and offer them affordable eyecare, so has trained and educated locals to treat eye conditions. Vision for Bangladesh work closely with the local hospital to offer treatment to those needing it and over the past year, the team have been able to look into the eyes of 13,343 individuals and provide glasses or treatment for 1,483 people whose lives have been transformed for good. The team of girls have also given nutrition and sanitation advice to 1,973 mothers and issued 581 vitamin or iron supplements.
