As of the end of December 2022, Vision for Bangladesh had been unable to send funds to the hospital as there was a policy change in banking practices. Due to this, they had to reluctantly suspend their work with offering eye treatments and involvement with the hospital until the matter can be resolved – please be praying that this can be sorted out as quickly as possible, so their outreach can resume.

In addition to this, the team of girls that had been trained in offering assessments to Tea Garden communities and reaching out to mothers with nutritional advice have all gotten married in a short space of time and therefore are no longer able to work. This has put a huge strain on the team and has left very few members remaining. The Vision for Bangladesh team are needing to reassess the situation as the training of these girls takes a long time and therefore they need something more permanent in place for the future.
