1toAnother began in 2010 by the Lock and LaalDin families in response to the flooding across Southern Punjab to try and bring relief to victims of the flood. The team provided victims with food, clothing, shelter and bedding. Over 350 single rooms were constructed between 2010-2014 and the team were able to provide communities with livestock. 1toAnother ran free medical camps in partnership with the Women’s Christian Hospital to support communities who would otherwise not have access to healthcare. They also began the construction of a Health and Development Centre in partnership with the Women’s Christian Hospital.
The team wanted to support local communities and create some kind of sustainability so began skills training, where people were taught welding, sewing and plumbing. A Primary School was also started, which took on 140 students.
