A number of people involved in the team were helped by the Somos Nos ministry due to their disability and were there keen to get involved in the work.
Constantino, a wheelchair user, came to faith through the Somos Nos ministry and now works in the workshop.
Elidse was helped by the team when her wheelchair was in extreme need of repair – Elidse was surprised to discover that Constantino also lived with a disability but was using the skills God had given him at Somos Nos. Constantino was able to repair her wheelchair , but that was just the start of her journey with Somos Nos. She was invited to come to the workshop to help with the administration – completing details of those attending the workshop so that they could be better supported. Elidse now comes every day to the Somos Nos workshop, located at the Khongolote church to fulfil this role. She greets those who come to the workshop and is the first point of contact, assessing their need and directing them to the appropriate person. The team hopes that Elidse will see her value as a child of God and that her faith in Christ will be strengthened as she participates in Bible studies with the Somos Nos team.
