Pray for the Vision for Bangladesh team and the opportunities they have serving the communities living in the Tea Gardens. The team will regularly visit to offer eye tests and see who requires treatment, they will then be referred to treatment at BNSB Hospital. Pray for the three women who have recently joined the team: Sumi, Seema and Rimly – pray that they would be encouraged in their training as they seek to support people in these communities of great need.
At the beginning of Rachel’s visit in March, the team first visited Madhabpur Tea Garden. Mobile clinics allow the team to reach these local communities who would otherwise not have access to this type of healthcare. If patients are found to have cataracts, they are tested for diabetes, have their blood pressure taken and eyelashes clipped.
Pictured are 250 patients awaiting testing, of which 65 received appropriate reading glasses and 49 were diagnosed with cataracts. This ministry can be the difference between someone being able to support their family or not – so many patients have been given a new lease of life by the treatment the team have been able to provide.
