"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope" emphasizes that joy is a gift from God and linked to faith.
Rom. 15:13

Last weekend was the kick-off session for the next cohort of Global Track. There were 25 young medics from around the country who met in London at the CMF office to explore together what it means to serve God through medicine in another culture and what that might mean for them in the days ahead.
The sessions covered:
The teaching was interactive, encouraging the trackers to think about these issues which will be developed further during the Track. There was, also, time to reflect, worship together and to get to know each other as we build this learning community.
Please pray for the trackers as they journey through through the Track; that God will speak into their lives and show them how they can best serve Him as Christian medics.

We are currently getting everything ready for the next shipment to Zambia and have a number of items already prepared in storage. If you have any items for shipping to Zambia, please can you send them to the loading point by Friday 25th September. Please contact us for more details.

We have welcomed back a number of our medical students who were doing their electives over the summer period and would love to share some reports with you.
Ellie did her medical elective across Uganda and Tanzania serving at two separate mission hospitals. When helping with a community eye clinic run by Kiwoko, Ellie said:
"We set up the equipment in the village hall (an open sided shelter with grass roof and extended with a tarpaulin). The day started with introductions, explaining Kiwoko hospital’s mission, and sharing the Gospel. It was amazing! Two people gave their lives to Jesus then and there!"

Sophie also did her medical elective at Kiwoko Hospital for a period of 4 weeks and reflects on her time there:
"I can confidently say that all the encouragement and lessons I have gained from my time in Kiwoko will stay with me as I continue forward with my studies, and I pray it continues to shape how I live out my faith in my future career.
Inspired by the words ‘the service is over let the worship begin’ written on the doorframe of the church, I have been challenged to be more intentional with how I can serve God in all areas of my life. A reminder that our faith isn’t to be left at the door of our workplaces, as it’s our strength, hope and purpose in Him alone that enables us step into our workplace in the first instance."
