Maria, 73, suffered a severe stroke leaving her unable to do anything for herself. Her family were struggling to care for her and reached out to Helping Hands for support. A basic wheelchair allowed them to care for her more easily and also facilitated Maria sitting on the veranda of their little house for short periods to get some fresh air. These are the little things that make a big difference to someone's quality of life.

Sadly Maria passed away only a few weeks after our contact with her; however, we praise God for the privilege to show love and concern for someone even in their last days. We also thank the Lord for the opportunity to speak gospel truth into these tough situations.
