Part of Joey & Jasmine Tell’s ministry with RICD/Stronger together is to inspire young people to explore a ministry in disability, and here is a recent personal story about a young woman who was mentored by Jasmine:
Leading these internships is one of the highlights of my year, getting to mentor and teach passionate young adults about disability ministry. God uses it to bless me so much, and wow has He really used it this year! Hollyn Lentz was a beloved intern from our 2019 internship. Our family fell in love with her, her passion, joy, humor and deep love for others. She has continued to pursue disability ministry in amazing ways, and currently she is pursuing her Masters in Social Work. A few months ago she approached me about how she could finish her Masters while serving in Thailand. Well did God have a way! She will be serving as Nina's 1:1 aide at Grace International School while simultaneously meeting the requirements to finish her final year of her Masters! WOW! We are so very excited and humbled by her willingness to serve Nina and our family in this truly POWERFUL way. She will be coming at the end of June and also serving our family during our very busy summer by helping with the girls before school starts in August. She is bravely living with us for the school year which is helping keep her costs low, however she still has significant fund raising needs in order to come. Words fail to convey what a massive role she is filling. We have been praying for over a year for God to fill this need as we knew Nina's current amazing aide would be leaving the role. Hollyn is bringing fresh energy and passion at a time when Nina really is needing some extra help. This is truly an integral part of our ability to serve well in Thailand, Nina being able to thrive.
